Puts out plenty of light but ....

This little lamp is both attractive and effective. It comes with a compact fluorescent tube that puts out a very bright white light - although there's about a half-second delay after you hit the switch. The styling is clean and contemporary and the lamp does not tip over even when you extend the "arm" forward as far as it will go. However the whole thing is made of plastic and feels kind of flimsy. The adjustable tensioner that keeps the arm in position has to be tightened frequently - easy to do but still - and the translucent plastic shield that covers the fluorescent tube is held in place with tiny little plastic tabs. So 4 stars overall - good design plenty of light kind of a cheap feel to it.More detail ...
